Our District has been approved for an LCI Workshop for organizing new clubs with an emphasis on Campus Clubs. The best part is, the workshop leader LCI has assigned us is the best of the best, PDG Paul Baker. Lion Paul, a Canadian, travels the world as well as throughout the USA helping to organize new Lions Campus Clubs, and he is highly successful at what he does. As a bonus, as a speaker on things Lion, he is second to none.
What we have planned - Sunday, September 10th, will be a workshop presentation by Paul at the Grafton Legion Hall starting at 2:00pm. The hall offers plenty of seating and room for 100 attendees. Depending on numbers, we may do lunch on one of the breaks, and a cash bar will be available following the program.
The workshop is open to any Lion (or prospective Lion), but it will be especially useful for Club Officers and Cabinet Members.
The Sunday Workshop will also be the kickoff for the following 3 days, which will be spent on at least one college campus, with Lion Paul, organizing a Campus Club. If you are willing and able to help with this, please let me know.
So, this is very definitely going to be a highlight of this year, something you don't want to miss. Make your reservation for Sunday, Sept. 10th today, or no later than Sept. 6th.
To attend, please RSVP DG Glen at either: LionGlen@lionsdistrict27a2.org or call 262-573-3011.
